Rallytechnology team took part in Rally Poland, the seventh round of World Rally Championship (WRC). Tomasz Gryc and Michał Kuśnierz competed in a Peugeot 208 R2 of the company from Rybnik, and reached the finish line on the sixth position in the category WRC3. They also won one of the special stages, which was not an easy task!
The rally comprised over 300 kilometres of special stages. Although most of the competition took place on a dry, gravel surface, at the very end of the race the weather played a trick on the competitors, making them race in mud, deep ruts and large puddles. Such conditions did not worry Gryc and Kuśnierz, who won the final special stage played as a Power Stage. – “This rally was diabolically fast! On some of the stages we drove over 175 km/h on a road so narrow that it could fit only one car! 5th gear, turns and hops – that’s not something for faint-hearted people,” commented at the finish line driver Tomasz Gryc.
Also Robert Gabryszewski, the team manager of Rallytechnology, is satisfied with the result: “At the end the rally turned really unpredictable but it brought us a big success which is the victory in the special stage. My congratulations to Tomek and Michał, they really did a great job. We have come back from Mazury to our residence to prepare the Ford Fiesta R5 for Łukasz Habaj and Piotr Woś. This duo is going to compete already on the weekend 15-17 July in the sixth round of European Rally Championship. 13 R5 class cars are going to start in Rally Estonia, among them Europe Chmpions – Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Jarosław Baran. It’s going to be a good one, keep your fingers crossed!”
