Final fight for champion’s crowns in Cieszyn After this year’s Polish Rally Championship, the time has come for Silesian championship. 42nd edition of Cieszyńska Barbórka Rally takes place already this coming weekend and is going to determine the ranking for the 2016 season. Rallytechnology team will of course be present at the start, serving this time four crews: Lechoszest / Drahan, Uliarczyk / Ciupka, Mąsior / Bobrowski and Lizończyk / Cieślar.

There are twenty crews signed up to compete in class 2WD. We will keep our fingers crossed for three crews in Peugeots 208 R2. Robert Mąsior and Łukasz Bobrowski – so far leading in the classification – are front-runners there. After finishing second in 2nd Opolski Rally, the Automobilklub Śląski crew has an 8 point advantage over the runner-up Patryk Łączka. This brings Mąsior and Bobrowski very close to sealing the champon title.

The weekend certainly is not going to be calm for Przemysław Lizończyk and Zbigniew Cieślar. The crew, starting in class Guest 2WD will want to advance to the fourth position in the classification. They are now missing only two points. The task seems difficult but let us remind you that during the previous round Przemek with Zbyszek won their best place in this season, which means we can expect a hard fight.

Michał Uliarczyk with Ryszard Ciupka are going to compete in class Guest. It is going to be only the third start in this season and the first one in this year’s Silesia Chamionship. The duo in their Peugeot 208 R2 will surely want to come back to the form from Rzeszowski Rally, where they finished fourth in fourth class.

We will cheer for the Lechoszest / Drahan crew on the edge of our seats. According to the unofficial ranking, they have already secured the championship in class RO R. Before the final round of this season, Arek with Paweł are leading in the class with the advantage of 10 points over Tomasz Wróblewski, who is not going to show up in Cieszyn. This season, the LAdrenaline Team members have won as many as three rallies, therefore we do not fear about their competition during the coming weekend.

We have a big challenge to face as we are going to support as many as four cars fighting for the highest positions. Our crews have played top roles here for the whole season. This time will be no different. I am convinced we get a reason to celebrate our championship in class Guest 2 WD and in class RO R. Our crews are superbly prepared for that and our task will be to make sure their cars help them achieve their goals. Keep your fingers crossed for them!”

42nd edition of Cieszyńska Barbórka Rally starts on Friday 18th November at the main square (rynek) in Cieszyn. The real rally emotions will follow on the next day, starting with Lipowiec Special Stage of 7 kilometres. There is a total of 36 kilometres awaiting the competitors. The rally will finish on the same day, also on the main square.
