RALLYTECHNOLOGY TEAM TO FINISH THE SEASON WITH BARBÓRKA

This year’s rally season has come to an end. The 54th Barbórka Rally was a symbolic end of the season for Rallytechnology team. The crews competed on six special stages with a total of 24 kilometres. The competition on the Warsaw’s special stages was not an easy one. Continuous rainfall made all six special stages as well as the legendary Karowa a tough challenge for everyone.

After winning two runner-up crowns, Tomasz Gryc and Michał Kuśnierz kept up their great streak and finished second among 2WD cars. Tomek with Michał won as many as four special stages. The Zowner FS Rally Team’s crew achieved also a great success winning in their class in Kryterium Asów at Karowa.

Two crews debuting in this rally also used Rallytechnology team’s support, those were Michał Tochowicz / Bartosz Herban and Łukasz Kopiec / Bartosz Rabsztyn. Tochowicz specializes in mountain races, therefore for him this rally was a great adventure and a getaway from his Peugeot 106 Maxi. Michał kept a decent tempo, as for a debutante, but his final score was affected by a 5 minutes penalty from the referees. Łukasz Kopiec had a bit more luck on the track. With his Peugeot 208 R2, he stayed away from big penalties and finished on the 15th position in the first class.

Robert Gabryszewski, Rallytechnology team manager comments, “There is no better way of closing up the season than to show up at the Warsaw’s special stages. Barbórka is a one of a kind rally with one of the type stages, which became particularly tricky due to the rain. It was easy to make a tiny mistake therefore I am glad that all our crews have safely made it to the finish line. Tomek with Michał have done a great job. Second position in the 2WD class along with a win in Karowa are great results. I am happy that also Michał with Bartek and Łukasz with Bartek used our assistance. For both crews this was a debut in this rally therefore a great fun was crucial here. I wish to greet all the spectators who lined up along the special stages. I am fully aware of the strong wind and rain, and we are very thankful to you guys for coming and cheering. See you next year!”
