RALLYTECHNOLOGY TESTED IN CZECHIA

The best training is combat training. The crews of Rallytechnology team, who will compete with our Czech neighbors in Rally Hustopeče on 16th-17th June, are well aware of this. The team of Rybnik will show there two Peugeot 208 R2’s, driven by Tomasz Gryc with Michał Kuśnierz and Bartłomiej Bogucki with Paweł Drahan.

For Gryc and Kuśnierz this will be the second start in Czechia this year. Previously, this crew prepared for the Polish championship season in Rally Valasska, where they finished on a very good fourth place in the sixth class. The Hustopeče Rally will have a similar character - this time the fourth class’ leaders will want to prepare best for the Rzeszów Rally, which will be a combined round of the Polish and European championships.

For Bartłomiej Bogucki this will be the first start this year. An experienced co-driver, Paweł Drahan, will accompany him in the right-hand seat as a guest. For Bogucki this will also be a debut in Peugeot 208 R2 and special stages of Rally Hustopeče will be ideal for getting to know a new car, which will certainly be beneficial for the upcoming starts.

There are no less than 116 crews, 25 of them in the sixth class, signed up for the fourth round of Czechia Rally Championship, which at the same time constitutes the fourth round of Slovakia championship. On the first day of the competition participants will drive each of the three planned special stages twice, which will amount to over 65 kilometers of time trial. On Saturday the crews will have to make more than 20 kilometesr more, mostly due to the longest stage of the rally, Horní Bojanovice – Diváky – Nikolčice (22.50 km).

Robert Gabryszewski, Rallytechnology team manager: The Czech rallies attract drivers and co-drivers mostly with their particularly demanding special stages, on which one can learn a lot. Our representatives make use of such conditions and treat the start in Rally Hustopeče purely in terms of training. Of course this does not mean they are going to be slow. Tomasz and Michał will rather want to make some kilometers with the car and test their settings before Rzeszowski Rally, while Bartek with the help of Paweł will try to learn the car, which is new to him. Coming up there is a weekend full of learning and an abundant source of useful information.
