After a break of over 7 months the Polish Rally Championship are finally back. It has become a tradition that the competition begins at the stages of Świdnicki - Krause Rally, in which the leading Polish racers will meet for the 47th time. Although the official start is only on Saturday afternoon, it is no secret that it will be a unique rally of the Polish championship. The start list features a record number of R5 class cars. Eleven crews in the strongest category are the most powerful squad in the history of Polish motorsport.
The Rallytechnology team contributes significantly to this record, as they will serve as many as three "R5s". The fourth starting number was given to Marcin Słobodzian and Kamil Kozdroń, who join the team this season. For the driver from Krakow, it will be the first start in Ford Fiesta R5. Then we will see the duo Zbigniew Gabryś / Artur Natkaniec with number 6. The second runner-up crew of the RSMP 2017 are now starting in Hyundai i20 R5 and in Świdnica will present their new rally weapon to the fans.
Another Ford Fiesta R5 under Rallytechnology service tents will be that of Sylwester Płachytka and his co-driver Jacek Nowaczewski (starting number 14). This weekend the crew will make their debut in the Polish Championship in the strongest class, and return to Świdnicki Rally after a 5-years break.
The team will also have representatives among cars with one-axle drive. Tomasz Gryc returns to the heavily seeded 2WD Group, while Przemysław Zawada joins the co-driver seat in his Peugeot 208 R2. It will be their second start together on routes in the Sowie Mountains, after the 2014 edition.
Gryc and Zawada, just like all four teams, represent the Rallytechnology team, which means that the team of Rybnik is very strongly lined up to begin the fight to defend the Polish Champions title in the sponsorship teams classification. Until now they have reached for the trophy four times in a row. The appetite for the next victory is huge, so there will be plenty of excitement in Świdnica!

We are starting the next season of the Polish Rally Championship, in which as Rallytechnology we have been taking part continuously since 2006. These several years mean a huge baggage of experience, but also priceless memories, shared with the racers. Now it's time to add another chapter to this story, which we are entering with very strong crews. We welcome another fast driver, Marcin Słobodzian, who this weekend will make an important step in his racing career. We are also happy of the return of Tomasz Gryc in Peugeot 208 R2 and the Płachytka / Nowaczewski duo (Ford Fiesta R5) in Świdnica. Zbigniew Gabryś and Artur Natkaniec remain the strength of our team, additionally reinforced with a new rally weapon - Hyundai i20 R5.
We have just completed a very intense test program, which has gotten even more packed this week. Thanks to this, we have used the time to the maximum and we are perfectly prepared for the competition. Looking at the start list one can tell that we are facing really demanding months at RSMP, but that's what motivates us all even more. We are proud to support such strong drivers, not only in their fight for individual successes, but also for points in the classification of sponsored teams.
