LONG AWAITED RETURN AND EXCITING DEBUT
- RALLYTECHNOLOGY READY FOR HOME START

The emotions of the Polish Rally Championships are back, and the next part of the cycle will be the 3rd edition of the Rally Silesia. The competition, starting today with the start ceremony at the Market Square (Rynek) in Mysłowice, will gather as many as 115 crews at the start. The largest group will be the one that will compete for the points of the sixth round of the Polish championship. Out of 56 crews that signed up, as many as 5 are serviced by Rallytechnology. The team from Rybnik has not yet had such a strong representation this season. Moreover, on their home ground they will present for their fans extremely exciting crews. The highest starting number – 3 – was assigned to Łukasz Habaj with his co-driver Wojciech Włodek. The third driver in the European Championship classification returns to the Rallytechnology family in the unique Fiat Seicento Abarth.

However, this is not the only scorpion car in the Rally Silesia competition. Starting number 5 on Abarth 124 Rally will land on the car of Dariusz Poloński and Łukasz Sitek. This weekend, after winning the second stage podium on the Barum Rally routes, the Abarth Rally Cup runners-up will compete in the Open 2WD class (where among others their competitor will be Łukasz Habaj).

Number 9 was given to Sylwester Płachytka and Jacek Nowaczewski, who especially for special stages of Upper Silesia have prepared a special surprise for their fans. After seven appearances in Ford Fiesta, this time they bet on the "R5" under the Skoda sign. Two Hyundai i20 R5’s will stand under Rallytechnology's service tents. Daniel Chwist and Kamil Heller will fight for more points. Interestingly, just like Sylwester Płachytka, another driver from Krakow, he will face Rally Silesia for the first time.

The composition of the fifth crew will probably make the fans really happy, because after nearly 5 months of a break, Zbigniew Gabryś returns to the competition. Robert Hundla, the current Polish Champion, will be his co-driver. The duo will sit together in a rally car for the first time since the 2005 season.

For Friday, September 6, two short trials are planned - Mikołów (1.90 km) and the spectacular Criterion of the 100th Anniversary of the Silesian Uprisings (1.50 km) scheduled next to the Silesian Stadium. The Saturday stage includes as many as 10 special stages laid out in two loops, five trials each. The total distance of Rally Śląsk is almost 108 km. At the finish line the crew will go to the Market Square in Żory, a few minutes past 7.

Robert Gabryszewski (Rallytechnology team manager): Rally Silesia, despite its short history, has earned a lot of recognition among competitors and supporters. In the third edition, the organizer has prepared an even more attractive program. It is a great idea to honor the celebration of events that are so important in the history of our region on the occasion of a sports spectacle.

For Rallytechnology, the next start will be unique, because five unusual rally cars will appear in the service area in Chorzów. Łukasz Habaj, who will park under our tents again, will once again present his strong Fiat Seicento to fans, and Dariusz Poloński will have the opportunity to present to Polish fans the beautiful Abarth 124 for the second time. At R5 we also have reasons to be proud, and for each of our three crews Rally Silesia will bring an individual challenge - an awaited return or an important debut.

The base of the rally is only a few kilometers from our headquarters, so this weekend we are fighting in our home rally, and this mobilizes us even more. Keep your fingers crossed and see you at the Rally Silesia!
