RALLYTECHNOLOGY AND BARRATT READY TO PIONEER ELECTRIC RACING

Multiple Polish Rally Championship winning team Rallytechnology from Rybnik is ready to race in the first all-electric Projekt E series round as part of the FIA World Rallycross championship season opener in Holjes, Sweden on 22-23 August.

The internationally successful and renowned Rally Team decided to take on a new challenge and adopt a pioneering role in Poland by participating in the new all-electric projekt E series. Despite having its plans for 2020 slowed down by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rallytechnology's plan to run two cars in Projekt E as soon as possible remains unchanged.

“We are very looking forward to have Natalie Barratt racing our Ford Fiesta ERX in Holjes. With the announcements of two manufacturers supporting, and drivers like Ken Block and Mads Ostberg participating, projekt E is definitely the place if you wnt to be part of the future and we are very happy to be part of this groundbreaking project from the first day. It feels good to be in a pioneer role. The COVID-19 situation imposed a lot of changes not just to the calendar but also to our plans in rally and rallycross. But we are finally just a few days away from the season opener and can´t wait to go racing in Sweden,” said Robert Gabryszewski, CEO of Rallytechnology.

Former rally driver Natalie Barratt will be behind the wheel of Rallytechnology´s STARD developed Ford Fiesta ERX.

“With only two weeks left until Holjes, the enormity of it has sunk in, and this is emphasised by the talent on the grid. I have had some testing time in the Fiesta ERX and the car felt great. It's going to be a big learning curve, I’m a glass half-full kind of person, and I hope that in the midst of this awful pandemic people can turn on and watch us race, it won't be the same without spectators. We are all excited and we want to show the World what electric power is all about, as I keep saying its mind blowing and I am so much looking forward to finally get on the racetrack! Some people don’t like change, I love it and I'm excited, no I’m super excited about this one," said Barratt.
