RALLYTECHNOLOGY CREWS SUCCESSES IN RALLY ISLAS CANARIAS

The first round of the European Rally Championship will be remembered as dominated by Polish crews. From the beginning to the end of the ERC 3 the current Polish champions, Łukasz Habaj and Piotr Woś, remained the leaders of the classification. Besides them, also Tomasz Gryc and Michał Kuśnierz stood on the podium. Not less exciting was the fight for the victory by Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Jarosław Baran, who finally finished second, while Wojciech Chuchała and Daniel Dymurski won in ERC 2.

Both our crews starting in ERC 3 presented an amazing speed, which let them stand on the podium - says the head of the Rallytechnology team, Robert Gabryszewski. As we supposed, the race on the Canary Islands was not an easy one. Both our crews, as well as the whole team got to know the new characteristic of this insular rally, which resulted in a whole wealth of experience. I wish to congratulate Łukasz and Piotrek for their victory in ERC 3 and Tomek and Michał for their third place. Our other teams, with whom we had a chance to work in the past, also did great. One can definitely say that our crews showed the ‘Polish power’!

For both Habaj and Woś as well as Gryc and Kuśnierz the start in the Canary Islands rally was a debut. Moreover, for the current Polish champions it was also the first start in Peugeot 208 R2. The rally was splendid. A lot of sports fans cheering, excellent tracks. Very high asphalt adhesion was damaging to the tires. A great team from Poland and a great atmosphere. It was a completely new, top-notch experience for us. I want to thank the Rallytechnology team, commented the ERC 3 winner at the finish line. Shortly after the finish also Gryc advanced to the top three - due to a penalty to the Turkish crew, which used more tires than allowed. Rally Islas Canarias was another big challenge for us and I am happy we have managed to complete it, at such a high - third position in the ERC 3 class. I am absolutely amazed by the atmosphere at the rally, that local Spanish rally ‘fiesta’. The number of sports fans we met in the service park, on road section and on stages cannot be compared to any other rally I have participated in so far. You have to see it yourself!, he added.
