The Rallytechnology team has just completed a difficult and intensive start period and, despite the coming weekend being an „off” one, they certainly will not be bored. The work continues, there i also little time left for celebrating the 5th Mikołowsko-Żorski Rally successes. And those were indeed good!
The first round of Silesia Rally Championship turrned out to be a success for all four Peugeot 208 R2 crews that left the Rallytechnology tents. Although each crew had a different goal, all of them crossed the finish line with smiling faces.
The duo: Tomasz Gryc and Michał Kuśnierz made a great result. The crew had no problem winning the Guest 2WD class while at the same time being the fastest one in the final classification of the rally. Arkadiusz Lechoszest, who debuted in the regional rally, along with his co-driver Paweł Drahan, were second in the RO R class, showing a pace that placed them just after their teammateTomek Gryc.
Robert Mąsior and Łukasz Bobrowski finished at the third place in the Guest 2WD class, and Przemysław Lizończyk with Maciej Chrupcała were eighth. For both teams that was a debut in new for them cars and their aim was primarily to learn and reach the finish line flawlessly, which was fulfilled in 100 %.
¬”The Mikołowsko-Żorski Rally will be remembered for its unprecedented weather,” says the team manager, Robert Gabryszewski. ”As the crews started the first lap, it started snowing at the zone. It rained the whole night before the race so we had an ”opinion lottery” in the morning. Happily, this had not influenced the rally and the conditions were teh same for everyone. All that shows the beauty of this discipline – everything is unexpectable here. I am very satisfied with our crews’ performance as they made it safely and successfully to the finish. I want to congratulate them and thank the whole team for the great job!”
