ESTONIAN SPEED FESTIVAL

Łukasz Habaj and Piotr Woś finished the extremely fast Rally Estonia, which was the sixth round of the European Rally Championship. The current Poland Champions completed most of the rally without any mistake, yet finally got the sixth position. A flat tire forced them to exchange a wheel at the special section which kept them from fighting for higher places.

Not without a reason is the competition, based in the second largest city of Estonia - Tartu, called a speed festival. The average velocities on the special sections often reach more than 130 kmph! “This rally is a very fast one and even the tiniest mistake can cost a team a lot. The roads here are very hard and wide, they are even called “gravel highways”, as they allow for really high speed. The crews often ride on the maximum rpms of the highest gear,” comments Rallytechnology team manager, who prepared the car for the Habaj/Woś duo. “Łukasz and Piotrek did very well for a debut, finishing on the sixth position in the general classification. My big congratulations to them! It’s worth mentioning that actually all the crews ahead of them in the classification have already started in this event a few times. The least experienced among the drivers faster than Łukasz is.. the European Rally Champion, Kajetan Kajetanowicz, for whom this was only the second start here. However, that didn’t keep him from finishing second. My congratulations!”

Łukasz Habaj is satisfied with his performance and wishes to come here next year. “Most of that was a lot of fun. We have gained a lot of experience and I hope to come back here next year. Then we should be much faster than the first time,” commented the eSKY Rally Team driver at the finish line.
