Rallytechnology crews are leaving Lower Silesia in great moods! After an exciting fight, Zbigniew Gabryś and Artur Natkaniec finished second in the 51st Dolnośląski Rally and are now in the top three best crews of Poland Rally Championship. Tomasz Gryc and Michał Kuśnierz have in turn added another podium in the fourth class to their accomplishments of this season, thanks to which they kept a strong leadership in the general classification.
Zbigniew Gabryś provided the spectators with a particular performance. Before the last special stage he was losing barely 0.7 s to the second place, which meant an incredible fight during the finish between him and Tomasz Kasperczyk. Eventually it was the Rallytechnology’s driver who got the second step of the podium leaving his rival 0.8 s behind!
Equally fierce was the competition in the fourth class, where three crews fought for the victory during nine special stages. Very even fight can be best illustrated with the results, as after a superbly accomplished Power Stage Tomasz Gryc and Paweł Kuśnierz were only 0.s s away from the second place! For that crew that was already the fourth podium this season. The amount of points they have collected so far gives them a safe leadership in the class now, with two rounds left before the season finishes.
Bartłomiej Bogucki, with his co-driver Paweł Drahan also deserves a praise. In his second start in this rally, Bogucki gained valuable experience and points in the fourth class.
Robert Gabryszewski, Rallytechnology team manager: The last stage of Dolnośląski Rally was particularly exciting for us! Tomek and Zbyszek had to withstand the pressure until the end and give their best on the last kilometers. They both performed well, to a large degree thanks to their pilots, who in such situations always have to keep a cool atmosphere in the car. I would also like to thank the entire team for a great job done, especially at the repair of Bartek and Paweł’s car, when they had taken a delicate roll on the track. Fortunately, everything was fixed and the boys got to the finish line winning points.
Straight from the 51st Dolnośląski Rally, the team from Rybnik immediately moved on to Italy, where Rally di Roma Capitale for the first time will be held as a round of the European Championship. Łukasz Habaj with Daniel Dymurski and returning to the competition Dariusz Poloński with Balbina Gryczyńska will start in this rally. There are twelve special stages waiting for the crews, with a total distance of more than 202 kilometers. The chase will start already on Friday from the evening special stage. On Saturday there will be five and on Sunday six special stages.
Robert Gabryszewski: Rally di Roma Capitale will be a novelty for the European Championship drivers, therefore we expect the Italian competitors to mess up quite a lot among the spearhead. We feel really confident before this start. In the previous round, that is in Barum Rally, Martin Koči won a lot of points for us in the team classification, which motivates us even stronger to fight. We are particularly happy about the comeback of our “lionet” – Darek and Balbina. After a longer break they are hungry for competition and on such stages they always felt great. We also count on Łukasz and Daniel, who get faster from one rally to another.
