Just three weeks after the official end of the Polish Rally Championships, Rallytechnology has begun preparations for next year's competition. The first important card has already been revealed, because another excellent crew joins the team from Rybnik. Tomasz Kasperczyk and Damian Syty, double Polish runner-ups in the general classification of the RSMP will start the next important stage of their rally career together with Rallytechnology.
After six years of racing in the Ford Fiesta R5, time has come for major changes, and it is Kasperczyk and Syty who will enter the new Volkswagen Polo GTI R5, which reached the team headquarters at the end of last week. The German rally car is the latest car supported by Rallytechnology and another R5 category construction, next to the Ford Fiesta R5, Skoda Fabia R5, or Hyundai i20 R5, which fans could see in the Rallytechnology service area.
The team, crew and car appeared on Sunday in full line-up during tests in Kamień Śląski, at the Silesia Ring facility. This is the first stage of the new colaboration and plans, more details to be revealed soon.
Robert Gabryszewski (Rallytechnology team manager): The news that we can now officially announce is an important distinction for our entire team. There was a lot of emotions about Volkswagen Polo R5 appearing in Rallytechnology, but it is the announcement of the crew members that is a particularly pleasant surprise for fans. We are glad that it is our team that will support Tomasz Kasperczyk and Damian Syty as they start their new rally adventure.
A new car in Rallytechnology team, the latest design of this type and from the top rally shelf, too, is for us also the beginning of a new chapter in the company's business. A warm welcome for one of the most experienced duos in the Polish field, which together has already completed nearly 100 starts on Polish and European special stages. We have already completed the first tests and traveled together valuable kilometers, so preparations for the 2020 season have begun for real. We will stand together to fight for the next titles and for Tomek and Damian’s jubilee start.
