Probably never, in its history, has the Rzeszów Rally aroused such emotions, as during the preparation for the beginning of the 29th edition of the event. The rally, constantly present in the Polish Championships from the 2002 season, for the first time will play the role of a round inaugurating the season. Right in Rzeszów, on fast and winding asphalt special sections that the competition for the first RSMP points will take place.
Rallytechnology team could not miss this competition. In this year's championship there are two crews, in a new line-up and with a new rally weapon. Kasperczyk / Syty and duos Wróblewski / Wróbel have already achieved their first sports successes this year, but it was precisely the debut in Rzeszów, that all the preparations in the first part of 2020 were focused on. Interestingly, it will be the first opportunity for fans to see Volkswagen Polo GTI R5on the routes of the Rzeszów Rally.
Kasperczyk and Syty of the Tiger Energy Drink Rally Team received the 4th starting number, and on the stages will start third in sequence. Kacper Wróblewski and Jakub Wróbel from Orlen Team, in the tightly cast R5 class, appeared at the official start ceremony in the Rzeszów Market Square with the "9".
Rallytechnology, as the current Polish Champions in the Classification of Sponsored Teams, this weekend apart from the fight in the general classification will also score in this rate. For the team from Rybnik, it will be a fight for the sixth title in a row. Rallytechnology team will be represented by Wróblewski and Wróbel, and Radosław Typa returning to the RSMP. Szymon Gospodarczyk will sit in the right seat of the Peugeot 208 R2.
Robert Gabryszewski (Rallytechnology team manager): We have participated in the Rzeszów Rally continuously since 2008 and we have many positive memories from this event. This year, when for the first and hopefully the last time, the season has such an unusual and sharply shortened formula, the stakes of the rally are particularly high. There are only four rounds ahead of us, so we have to move on well from the first stage. The situation with the sports events calendar may still change, so you have to be aware that every single point will count in the fight for the titles.
The inauguration of the Polish Rally Championship 2020 has a really strong cast. Well, we all have counted on such a spectacular opening of the Polish championship. We are glad that we can contribute to it, especially that it will be the debut of the Volkswagen Polo GTi R5 on stages of the Rzeszów Rally, and at the same time for the first time in the RSMP round, there will be two rally cars from Hanover.
The duos Kasperczyk / Syty and Wróblewski / Wróbel have already provided their fans with a large dose of emotions this season, and we have reasons to celebrate, so we are starting in the 29th Rzeszów Rally not only strongly motivated, but also with high hopes for a successful opening. I do not hide that we also have a huge appetite for the sixth championship title among sponsoring teams. There are a lot of challenges ahead of us this weekend. See you in Rzeszow!
